You Press the Button

The GFC004 transmitter encodes the command — for example "switch to blue, fast flash" — and broadcasts it on the 433MHz band. The button is a physical press, not a screen tap, so it works even in gloves or full darkness.

Signal Broadcasts in All Directions

Radio waves travel outward from the transmitter in a sphere, reaching every lanyard within 250 meters in open air. Because the signal is broadcast rather than paired, there is no limit on how many lanyards receive it — one press reaches 10 or 10,000 units identically.

RF Controlled Questions

Do RF controlled lanyards need WiFi or Bluetooth? +
No. The system uses 433MHz radio frequency, which is a one-way broadcast — the transmitter sends, the receivers listen. There is no WiFi, Bluetooth, pairing, or network configuration. This is why RF works in venues with no internet, in basements, and in stadiums where WiFi is overloaded by thousands of phones.
How many lanyards can one remote control? +
Unlimited in principle. Because the command is broadcast to all receivers at once, the number of lanyards does not affect response time or require any extra hardware. In practice, we recommend the GFC004 for events up to a few thousand units; for stadium-scale shows, the GFC005 DMX transmitter integrates the lanyards into the lighting console for show-synchronized control.
What is the actual range? +
250 meters in open air. Indoors, the range depends on walls, structures, and metal — typical venue coverage is lower but still sufficient for most halls and arenas. For very large venues, positioning the transmitter centrally, or using a second transmitter for different sections, keeps full coverage.
Can I control different groups separately? +
The GFC004 broadcasts one command to all lanyards. For separate group control — VIP section one color, general admission another — the GFC005 DMX or GFC008 APP transmitters support zone assignment. The lanyard hardware is the same; the difference is which transmitter drives it.
Is the remote reusable for future events? +
Yes. The GFC004 is a one-time purchase that works with any RF-ready GFLAI lanyard, at any of your events, forever. If you order more lanyards next year, they respond to the same remote. Batteries in the remote are replaceable, and the unit is pocket-sized for touring.
What certifications apply to RF lanyards? +
RF lanyards and the GFC004 transmitter are FCC and CE certified for radio emissions. RoHS covers material compliance. Certification documentation is provided with each order for customs clearance and venue compliance. KC is available for the Korean market.
