Light up badge lanyards with glowing acrylic badges worn at a night event

Light Up
Badge Lanyard

The badge is the part that carries the light. Procurement is structured as a three-node tree: material, light placement, and control. Each branch specifies the model, the optical behavior, and the recommended use.

Three Decisions, One Badge

Every light up badge lanyard is defined by the same three decisions. The tree below shows the available branches and where each one leads.

NODE 01

Badge Material — Three Families

1ALaser-Cut Acrylicleads to → custom shapes, no mold fee

Cast acrylic sheet cut to any 2D outline from supplied artwork — logo, mascot, letterform, or object. The material diffuses light evenly across the badge surface. No tooling cost for shape changes, which makes this the branch for brand-shaped credentials and merchandise.

GFH-004GFH-0051–2 LEDs8–12h
1BMolded ABSleads to → standard rectangles, lowest cost

Injection-molded ABS shell in standard dimensions with screen-printed or sublimated branding. The lowest-cost family, suited to high-volume staff credentials, giveaways, and ID programs where the badge shape is fixed.

1CRound Medal Shellleads to → high-output recognition

A φ6.7 cm round shell with 10 perimeter LEDs and a swappable fabric sleeve for rapid color changes. The highest-output badge of the series; applied to medals, VIP credentials, and recognition programs where visibility outweighs shape flexibility.

Light Placement — How the Badge Glows

2ABacklit Surfaceleads to → even glow across the badge

A single LED behind the badge face diffuses light uniformly across the entire surface. The print remains visible both lit and unlit. Standard on GFH-004; the reference look for corporate and VIP programs.

2BSelective Placementleads to → feature-specific lighting

LEDs positioned behind specific cutouts or features of the badge — for example, both eyes of an owl shape, the beacon top of a lighthouse, or the ball of a sports emblem. Each LED is individually controllable.

2CPerimeter Ringleads to → maximum output

LEDs arranged around the badge edge form a continuous light ring. The brightest configuration available; the badge reads as a solid disc of light at distance. Standard on GFH-003.

Control Method — Who Operates the Light

3APush Buttonleads to → standalone operation

Built into every badge; no equipment required. Long press toggles the light, single tap cycles colors and modes. The baseline for all orders and the only option on GFH-002.

Zero setupAll models
3BRF Remoteleads to → one-press group control

GFC004 handheld transmitter, 433MHz, 250-meter broadcast, no pairing. One press changes every badge within range. Standard for events up to 2,000 units.

3CAPP Controlleads to → real-time individual control

GFC008-ready APP, ready-made or white-label. Real-time color, brightness, and pattern selection; attendee-side control supported. Standard for events above 2,000 units.

GFC005 interface connects to any lighting console; badge cues are programmed into the show file with millisecond synchronization. Standard for stadium tours and televised events.

Three Paths Through the Tree

The three combinations below cover the majority of procurement profiles. Any other path through the tree is supported.

Budget Path

Standard ABS + Push Button

GFH-001 or GFH-002 with molded ABS badge and button-only control. The lowest-cost configuration; suited to staff credentials, giveaways, and bulk ID programs where badge shape is fixed.

Branch Notes

The three nodes are independent, so any material branch can combine with any light-placement branch and any control branch. A custom acrylic badge (1A) with backlit placement (2A) and APP control (3C) is fully supported, as is a medal shell (1C) with a perimeter ring (2C) and DMX sync (3D). The factory team validates the combination against the deployment profile before sample production and confirms the LED count, print configuration, and battery selection for the specific badge.

Because all badge families share one production line, mixed-branch orders — for example, standard ABS badges for staff and custom acrylic badges for VIPs in a single shipment — are produced under one quality standard with one DDP landed cost.

Badge Procurement Questions

Can different parts of the badge show different colors? +
Yes. The RGB LED is electronically controlled, so a single LED can emit any of the 7 preset colors. For selective placement, each feature LED is individually controllable — an owl shape can show two independently colored eyes, and a lighthouse can show a different beacon color from its base.
How do I ensure my brand colors are reproduced accurately? +
Strap and badge print are Pantone-calibrated and approved on a physical sample before bulk production. For corporate buyers, an internal color calibration tool is provided at no cost to verify brand color accuracy across the batch.
Can I order the badge without the lanyard strap? +
Yes. The badge assembly (pendant, LED module, battery, and attachment clip) can be ordered separately. This is a B2B channel: the minimum order is 200 units, and the badge uses a standard slot or clip compatible with most 10–15 mm straps.
Is there a mold fee for custom badge shapes? +
No. Custom acrylic shapes are laser-cut from vector artwork with no tooling cost. Standard ABS and medal shells carry no shape tooling either — customization applies to print, color, and LED configuration.
How bright is the badge in a dark venue? +
Visibility depends on the light placement branch: backlit badges remain readable at close range, selective placement highlights specific features, and the perimeter ring on GFH-003 is visible at the greatest distance. Battery output is consistent across the badge for the full runtime.
Can the badge be reused after the event? +
Yes. Batteries are replaceable in the field, the badge print endures multiple uses, and control transmitters are external — a badge batch can be re-synchronized for a new show without replacement.
