An LED badge lanyard combines three functional layers into a single wearable device: the identification badge (with built-in LED lighting), the printed or sublimated strap (carrying your brand message), and the control interface (push button, RF remote, or APP). Because all three layers are produced by the same manufacturer, they are designed to work together — not as separate components assembled from different suppliers.
The badge itself is not a separate accessory attached to a lanyard. The LED module, battery holder, and switch are integrated into the badge shell during production. This means the lighting is part of the credential, not an add-on. The result is a product that functions identically to a standard ID lanyard when unlit, and becomes a dynamic light-up display when activated.
Custom packaging available: retail box, poly bag, or bulk tray with per-unit barcode labels.
Six components. One integrated product. Every part is manufactured and assembled in-house.
The visible face of the credential. Available in laser-cut acrylic (any 2D shape), injection-molded ABS (rectangular with ID window), or round medal shell (swappable fabric sleeve). The shell houses the LED module and diffuses light evenly across the surface.
Surface-mount RGB LEDs soldered directly to the PCB. Depending on the model, 1 to 10 LEDs per badge. Each LED is digitally controllable — capable of displaying 7 preset colors or any RGB value when paired with a compatible transmitter. The circuit is sealed to prevent short circuits from moisture.
CR2032 coin cells (standard for badge IDs) or AAA batteries (for high-brightness round medal). The compartment uses a screw-lock or snap-fit lid with a positive terminal spring. Battery life ranges from 8 to 12 hours of continuous use depending on model and brightness setting.
Tactile momentary switch embedded in the badge edge or side. Long press toggles power on/off. Short tap cycles through colors and flashing modes. The button is rated for 100,000+ presses and is sealed against dust ingress (IP4x equivalent).
Nylon, TPU, or polyester webbing in customizable lengths and widths. The badge attaches via a swivel clip, fixed slot, or snap hook — depending on the model. A breakaway safety buckle releases at 5kg tension to prevent strangulation hazards, meeting ASTM F2057 standards for wearable credentials.
Built into models compatible with remote control (GFC004, GFC005, GFC008). The 433MHz receiver listens for broadcast signals from the transmitter and updates LED color/mode accordingly. Because the receiver is always listening but draws negligible current in standby, battery life is not materially affected.
Complete technical specifications across all five product series. All models share the same core LED badge lanyard architecture.

Four badge types, five strap materials, infinite combinations. Each option serves a different event environment and brand requirement.
Laser-cut from cast acrylic sheet. Any 2D shape — logo, letter, mascot, geometric. No mold fee. The acrylic acts as a natural light guide, diffusing LED illumination evenly. Best for brand events, VIP credentials, and charity galas where the badge shape communicates brand identity.
Injection-molded ABS plastic with integrated ID window on the rear. Durable, lightweight, and cost-effective for large orders. The rectangular shape accommodates standard ID card inserts behind the badge face. Best for corporate ID programs, staff credentials, and trade shows with high volume requirements.
Circular ABS shell with 10 perimeter LEDs and a swappable fabric sleeve. The sleeve can be changed without tools, allowing the same badge to display different colors or patterns across multiple events. Best for VIP passes, medal-style credentials, and premium event merchandise where visual impact takes priority.
Nylon webbing (matte finish, 30+ colors, fray-resistant), TPU (waterproof, glossy transparent, easy clean), polyester sublimation (full CMYK with gradients and photographic detail), satin (premium smooth texture), or recycled PET (eco-friendly option). Each optimized for print method and durability.
Three real deployment scenarios showing how the badge lanyard functions as an ID, a brand tool, and an audience engagement device.
3,200 GFH-004 acrylic badge lanyards for a three-day industry conference. Each badge printed with attendee name and company logo, backlit by the integrated LED. Push button control allowed guests to match lanyard color to their networking group.
8,000 GFH-001 badge lanyards for a European festival's crew, security, and volunteer teams. Strap printed with role designation (STEWARD / MEDICAL / VENDOR). Badge LED color assigned per department — red for security, blue for production, green for hospitality.
500 GFH-005 custom-shaped acrylic badge lanyards for a luxury brand launch. Badge cut to the brand's logo silhouette with selective LED backlighting. The same badge served as the event entry credential, a photo moment accessory, and a post-event keepsake.
In-house LED badge lanyard production — Shenzhen, China
GFLAI operates a 20-year LED manufacturing facility in Shenzhen. Every LED badge lanyard — from the PCB inside the badge to the webbing on the strap — is produced under one roof. Because we control the full supply chain, we can guarantee color consistency across the badge and strap, LED brightness uniformity across the entire batch, and certified drop-test performance for every unit.
Unlike trading companies that source badges from one factory and straps from another, we produce both components in-house. This means the badge clip matches the strap width exactly. The LED module fits the badge cavity precisely. The breakaway buckle is tested on the actual strap material — not a generic sample.
