A lanyard with LED is a neck strap with a badge holder or printed panel that contains light-emitting diodes powered by batteries. Unlike a plain fabric lanyard, it emits light in one or more zones — making the wearer visible in the dark, adding brand impact, or creating synchronized crowd effects at events.
Strap-lit, badge-lit, or full-body — the light can be placed in three different zones of the lanyard.
Every LED lanyard cycles through 7 preset colors, with 4 flash modes built in as standard.
Runtime per battery set, with user-replaceable CR2032 or AAA cells in every model.
The position of the LEDs determines what the lanyard looks like when lit — and what it is best suited for. These are the three lighting zones used across the GFH series.

LEDs are embedded along the strap itself — typically 8 LEDs spaced evenly through the fabric. Because the light source runs the full length of the strap, the lanyard reads as a continuous line of light on the wearer's chest. This is the most visible lighting zone from a distance.
Best for: large events, crowd visibility, show-synced lighting.

The LEDs sit behind the badge face, backlighting the printed or engraved logo. Acrylic badges diffuse the light evenly across the surface, creating a uniform glow that highlights the badge design. This zone is more refined and premium-looking than strap lighting.
Best for: brand events, VIP credentials, corporate ID.

Combined lighting — strap and badge both emit light — or a high-density configuration like the round medal with 10 perimeter LEDs. Full-body lanyards produce the brightest, most attention-grabbing effect, functioning almost like a wearable light panel.
Best for: concerts, night festivals, maximum visibility.
A lanyard with LED can combine zones: GFH-001 lights both strap and badge simultaneously. The lighting zone affects brightness, battery life, and visual impact — discussed in the model section below.
A lanyard with LED is a small electronic device, not just fabric with lights glued on. Every unit contains five core components, assembled and tested in our factory.
Surface-mount RGB LEDs on a small PCB. 1 to 10 LEDs depending on model. Each LED displays 7 colors and 4 flash modes.
CR2032 coin cells (2×) or AAA (3×). User-replaceable via coin slot or screwdriver. 8-12 hours runtime.
Tactile switch on the badge edge. Long-press powers on/off; short tap cycles colors and flash modes. Rated for 100,000+ presses.
433MHz receiver in remote/DMX/APP-compatible models. Listens for transmitter signals with negligible standby draw.
Nylon, TPU, or polyester webbing with printed branding, plus breakaway buckle and badge attachment clip.

All models share: 7 RGB colors, 4 flash modes, push button control, breakaway safety buckle. Control upgrades (RF remote, DMX, APP) available on most models.
Three questions determine the right model. Answer them in order and the choice becomes clear.
If visibility from a distance matters most (crowds, night events), choose strap-lit GFH-001. If the badge design is the focus (brand logos, premium ID), choose badge-lit GFH-004 or GFH-005. If you need maximum brightness in a compact format, GFH-003 round medal delivers 10 perimeter LEDs.
For individual wearers, the push button is built in — no extra hardware. For organized events with synchronized moments, add the GFC004 RF remote (one press, all lanyards). For show-integrated lighting, use DMX (GFC005). For attendee APP control, use GFC008. All models support the push button; remote/DMX/APP depend on model.
Outdoor events with rain or humidity call for the waterproof TPU strap of GFH-002. Indoor corporate events suit the refined acrylic look of GFH-004. High-visibility environments (traffic, warehouse) benefit from the bright strap lighting of GFH-001. The strap material and badge material are both selected based on where the lanyard will be used.

In-house LED lanyard production — Shenzhen, China
A lanyard with LED is only as good as its electronics. GFLAI has manufactured LED products since 2005, with the PCB design, firmware, injection molding, printing, assembly, and testing all under one roof in Shenzhen. Because we are the factory — not a trading company — you get factory-direct pricing, direct quality accountability, and the ability to iterate from sketch to sample without middleman delays.
Every lanyard with LED is 100% light-tested before packing: all 7 colors, all 4 flash modes, and the button response are verified on each unit. Battery compartments are sealed, straps are tensile-tested, and the breakaway buckle is pull-tested to the 5kg release standard. For batch consistency, samples from every production run are compared against the approved pre-production sample.
