DMX512 (Digital Multiplex with 512 channels) is the worldwide standard for controlling entertainment lighting equipment. Every professional lighting console — from grandMA to Hog to Chamsys to Avolites — speaks DMX512 natively. The protocol transmits 512 individual control channels over a single 3-pin or 5-pin XLR cable, with each channel carrying a value from 0 to 255.

The GFC005 transmitter converts DMX data into RF signals that LED lanyards receive and execute. Because the RF transmission reaches all lanyards simultaneously (not sequentially), every unit responds within milliseconds of the DMX command — regardless of whether there are 200 units or 50,000 units in the audience.

There is no Wi-Fi dependency, no network configuration, and no app installation. The lanyards simply listen for the RF signal and display the color, brightness, and mode specified by the DMX channel assignment. Connect GFC005 to Console
