Controlled
LED Lanyards

Four ways to control your LED lanyards — push button, handheld RF remote, DMX512 console integration, or custom branded mobile app. Synchronize 10 to 50,000+ units with millisecond precision.

One Remote. One Crowd. One Unforgettable Moment.

Imagine walking into a 30,000-seat arena where every audience member wears a glowing lanyard. The house lights dim. The crowd is dark. Then the first chord hits — and 30,000 lanyards ignite in synchronized blue, shifting to red on the chorus drop. The audience becomes the light show. That is what controlled LED lanyards do.

Whether you are planning a corporate product launch, a stadium concert tour, a music festival, a night event, a brand activation, a trade show exhibition, or a wedding after-party — having every guest light up on cue creates a shared emotional experience that photographs and videos cannot fully capture. People remember how it felt to be part of something synchronized.

This is not just about lighting. It is about atmosphere control — giving event directors, show producers, brand managers, and experience designers the ability to shape how an audience feels at every moment of an event.

"We used GFLAI controlled LED lanyards for our annual brand launch event. Having 4,000 guests light up simultaneously during the CEO's opening speech created a moment nobody in the room will forget. The RF remote control worked flawlessly — zero setup, zero hiccups."

What Event Buyers Actually Ask Us

These are the questions our sales team answers every day. Each one reflects a real search query from event professionals looking for controlled LED lanyard solutions.

"How do I make 5,000 LED lanyards change color at the same time during a concert?"
With the GFC004 handheld RF remote, one button press synchronizes every lanyard within 250 meters. No app, no network, no programming. Perfect for live shows where every second counts.

"Can I control LED lanyards from the lighting console with my existing DMX setup?"
Yes. The GFC005 DMX512 transmitter plugs into any standard lighting console. Your lighting designer programs lanyard cues directly into the show file — just like controlling a fixture.

"What is the best way to sync LED lanyards for a corporate brand activation event?"
For corporate events with 500–5,000 guests, the GFC004 handheld remote offers instant crowd-wide sync without technical complexity. For activations with attendee interaction, the GFC008 APP transmitter lets guests control their own color from their phone.

"I need LED lanyards that can be controlled by both the lighting crew and the audience — is that possible?"
The GFC007 hybrid transmitter gives you exactly that. DMX-controlled sync during the show, then APP-based attendee control after the event. The lanyard stays active, creating post-event social media engagement.

"Can I get a sample of the controlled LED lanyard before placing a bulk order for my festival?"
Yes. We produce pre-production samples based on your artwork and control preferences. Sample cost is deducted from your first bulk order. We ship samples to the US, UK, EU, and APAC via express courier.

"How far can the remote control reach in a large outdoor festival or stadium?"
The GFC004 and GFC005 transmitters have a 250-meter open-air range. In stadium environments with seating bowls and structural elements, tested effective range is typically 150–200 meters, covering most venue configurations.

Four Ways to Control

From a single button to full lighting console integration. Choose the level of control your event demands.

Method 01

Push Button Control

The simplest control method. Every GFLAI LED lanyard comes with a built-in push button. A long press turns the unit on or off. A single short tap cycles through 7 colors and 4 flashing modes — steady glow, slow blink, fast blink, and strobe.

Because each unit operates independently in push-button mode, attendees can choose their own color. This works well for giveaways and general admission where individual preference matters more than crowd synchronization.

Method 02

Handheld RF Remote GFC004

The GFC004 handheld remote is our entry-level control option, best suited for small to mid-size events with up to 2,000 units. Because the signal is broadcast via 433MHz RF (not Wi-Fi or Bluetooth), there is no pairing, no app, and no network setup required — just point and press.

For larger events exceeding 2,000 units, or when you need programmable color sequences and attendee interaction, we recommend upgrading to the GFC008 APP transmitter or GFC005 DMX512 interface. The GFC008 supports our existing ready-to-deploy mobile application, and we can also develop a fully custom branded APP tailored to your event — with your logo, color palette, and control interface. For events of 5,000+ units, the GFC008 APP or GFC005 DMX is the recommended choice for reliable synchronization at scale.

Best for < 2,000 units No setup needed 2,000+ → GFC008 or GFC005
Method 03

DMX512 Console GFC005

The GFC005 DMX512 transmitter connects directly to any standard lighting console. Your lighting designer programs lanyard color changes and flash patterns as part of the main show file — alongside stage lights, video walls, and special effects.

Because DMX512 uses industry-standard protocol, integration is plug-and-play. The GFC005 acts as a radio bridge: it receives DMX data from the console and broadcasts it as RF signals to all lanyards. Synchronization is millisecond-level, making it suitable for televised events and timecode-critical productions.

Method 04

APP & Hybrid GFC008 / GFC007

The GFC008 transmitter powers a custom-branded mobile application for iOS and Android. Attendees download the app, connect to the lanyards via the transmitter, and control their own color and flashing mode from their phone. This creates a second wave of engagement after the event ends.

The GFC007 hybrid transmitter combines DMX512 show sync during the performance with post-event APP control. Because the lanyard stays active after the show, attendees continue interacting with the product — sharing photos on social media and extending your brand exposure for weeks.

Control Questions

Do I need Wi-Fi or cellular signal to control the lanyards? +
No. The GFC004 remote and GFC005 DMX transmitter both use 433MHz RF radio signals, which operate independently of any network infrastructure. You can control lanyards in underground venues, remote outdoor locations, or areas with no cellular coverage. Only the GFC008 APP transmitter requires a local device to host the Bluetooth-to-RF bridge.
Can I use different colors for different zones or VIP sections with just one transmitter? +
Yes, one transmitter is all you need. Our GFC008 APP transmitter and GFC005 DMX512 transmitter both support zone control with a single unit. You can define different groups — VIP, general admission, staff, floor, seated — and assign different colors or flashing patterns to each group. No need to purchase multiple transmitters for zone-based control. The GFC004 handheld remote also supports basic group switching if the lanyards are pre-assigned to different RF channels during manufacturing.
How do I switch between control methods during an event? +
Lanyards respond to the last signal they receive. If you start with the GFC004 remote for a crowd color change and then connect the GFC005 DMX transmitter, the lanyards automatically switch to DMX control. Individual push-button control is always available on each unit regardless of remote or DMX signals.
Can I control lanyards from a moving vehicle or drone? +
Yes. Because the 433MHz RF signal does not require line-of-sight, the transmitter can be mobile. The GFC004 handheld remote has been used from helicopters, parade floats, and moving vehicles to synchronize ground-level lanyards within the 250-meter range. Range may vary with environmental factors such as buildings and terrain.
What transmitters are included with a bulk order? +
Transmitters are ordered separately based on your control requirements. We recommend discussing your event size and sync needs with our sales team. For most events, one GFC004 remote covers up to several thousand units. For larger productions, the GFC005 DMX or GFC007 hybrid is the standard choice.
How do controlled LED lanyards compare to other crowd lighting solutions like LED wristbands or glow sticks? +
LED lanyards serve double duty — they function as practical ID holders or badge credentials while providing the synchronized lighting effect. Unlike glow sticks (single-use, no control) or LED wristbands (limited visibility, one-size-fits-all), lanyards are visible from any angle, customizable with brand printing, and become a keepsake attendees keep. Because they hang at chest level, they are more visible in crowd photos and video footage than wristbands. Controlled LED lanyards also offer multiple control methods (RF remote, DMX, APP) that wristband systems often lack without expensive infrastructure.
Can I order controlled LED lanyards with my company logo for a corporate event, trade show, or product launch? +
Yes. All GFLAI controlled LED lanyards support full OEM/ODM customization. Your company logo can be printed on the webbing strap, laser-cut into the acrylic badge shape, or displayed as a backlit graphic on the badge surface. We also customize the packaging — color box, gift box, or bulk pack with your branding. Minimum order quantity is 200 units for custom designs.
